Lord Howe – Completely Amazeballs

(Location: Lord Howe Island, Australia)

For our 15th anniversary, we splurged on a weekend in Lord Howe Island. Located an hour and a half flight east of Sydney, it is just 10km long, 2-3km wide, and completely unspoiled. There are a few roads, and a few cars, but most of the “traffic” is on foot or bicycle. We went on several hikes (and rarely saw even one other person), fed the fish at Ned’s beach, and enjoyed the lack of mobile phone signal.

We stayed at Capella Lodge, a complete splurge but worth every penny. Our two story lagoon loft had a postcard-perfect view, the food was out-of-this-world yummy, and they even let us borrow the golf cart to explore the island.
